Plant Small Seeds Reap Big Harvest

About a week and half ago, I watched my daddy hop on his tractor, plowing the dirt in his garden. He dropped 2-3 squash seeds in each hole, covered them up, and went on about his day- just like in Mark 4:27, "he sleeps and rises night and day, and the seeds sprouts and grows; he knows not how". Now, those seeds are squash plants pushing through the dirt.
That moment stuck with me, especially after Sunday's message from Pastor Eric Timpson. He dropped some nuggets that hit home for me:
"It takes dirt to produce your harvest."
"No dirt, no harvest."
"A hard heart can't receive."
"The seed looks nothing like the fruit but it's working."
That blessed me, because gardening is one of my happy places. And it reminded me that the same way we plant in the natural, God does the same in our lives, The dirt might not look or feel good, but it's necessary. It's where things start to grow.
Romans 8:28 tells us all things works together for the good, to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose-even the messy stuff
So, if life feels heavy or dirty right now, don't get discouraged. Your dirt is working. Keep planting seeds of faith, love and obedience. And make sure your heart is good ground. Because in time, you will see the harvest.
