My dad uses fertilizer to grow his vegetables along with daily watering.
My mom uses prayer, fasting, studying of the word, trusting in God and the Fruits of the Spirit as her fertilizer to grow her spiritual garden.
I have watched my dad and son countless hours, till the ground and plant seeds. The biggest challenge I see now is keeping the weeds out but my dad tries to maintain hoeing the garden.
I have witnessed my mom on her knees late in the wee hours to early mornings, interceding for family as well as others. Someone asked my mom “how do you maintain and handle situations so well?” her response was while tapping her Bible laying on the table “The word and trusting God”. This lady continues to exhibit the fruits of the spirit in tough situations that leaves me standing in awe as well wondering too “how do you do it ?” but it’s Jesus on the inside keeping her. I truly admire her strength and love for God.
Both garden involves laboring and will produce. Let God be your Master Gardner.
If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19
The Lord will strengthen you and help you in every situation in life.
Thank you mom for capturing the pictures and your encouraging words summed up here. I will continue to echo your" laboring and praying is not in vain."
We love you!
Beautiful words to feed our soul and spirit.
